Based in London, and constantly inspired by her Lebanese-British identity, Mabelle has evolved from her successful work in marketing, to an exploration of multi-media scented art pieces, to self-education in perfumery and the launch of her own independent fragrance house. When she began immersing herself in a study of scent in 2020, she was seeking a therapeutic escape from the stress and isolation of pandemic lockdown. She started shaping her own inspirations, from the energy of the cosmos to the flavours of her native cuisine, into fragrance and founded her artisanal business in 2022.
A few years later, Mabelle still releases just one fragrance at a time, giving herself (and the fragrance) ample space to tell a specific olfactory story and allowing us to experience each scent without feeling overwhelmed. Her creations have received multiple recognitions from organizations like the Fragrance Foundation UK and the Institute for Art and Olfaction. At the same time, they never feel as though they were designed just to garner attention or to respond to market trends. They are made in small batches, with patience and care, and each one stands alone as a wearable piece of art, a poetic tale told on the skin.
