If gold had a smell, what would it be? In Gilded, the Eau de Boujee alchemists revisit another classic perfumery motif: amber. Amber scents are typically blends of warm spices, vanilla, and resins traditionally used in incense, including labdanum and benzoin. Melded together, these notes can remind us of our ability to transcend everyday reality through our senses, to look up to the heavens – or deep into our own souls.

Gilded’s smoky-sweet composition might remind you of any number of golden things: a harvest moon, glowing beeswax candles, a single shaft of light piercing a darkened room, shining metal incense burners. Precious frankincense and saffron form Gilded’s spicy, sacred heart, with a highlight of lemon and a veil of aldehydes adding shimmer and lift.
