The illusion of burlesque, all feathers and fishnet, is part of its appeal. Perfume is usually artifice, too: we don’t naturally smell like fruit, flowers, or spices! We put it on like an accessory, to project a mood—and Moulin Rose is the equivalent of a dancer’s shimmery eyeliner or silk stockings. Spray it on and shimmy!
